The Better Buried Closures Series uses the compound compression method to force the encapsulant up the cable to stop water ingress, which provides splice protection even in the most severe OSP buried environments. Better Buried closures are offered in different sizes to cover various cable ranges and can be easily extended and bricked. 3M MS² Splicing Modules 4000-DWP splicing modules with sealant boxes and 3M Scotchlok UR2 and UY2 discrete connectors are recommended for use in the Better Buried Closures.
